Subject	Heater Valve Question

Message	recently took out my z32 to use as my dd but have a pretty big problem. The heater core gets hot when I have my ac on making it unbearably hot inside my car. I checked my ac evaporator and that seems to be working just fine as it gets pretty cold to the touch. I just wanted to know how to manually shut off the heater core valve so that the coolant does not pass through the core and warm up the cold air being blown through it. (NOT MY PICTURE) I am not sure in which direction to manually move this lever. Any info would help. Side note, all the electric motors for the ac are shot and I've had to manually adjust the air flow vents.
